Meet Bigfoot: From Forest Legend to Hospitality Hero
Before settling down at the Sunshine Motel and Cabins, Bigfoot was living the typical cryptid lifestyle—roaming the dense forests of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, avoiding blurry photographers, and dodging conspiracy theorists.
His early days were tough, but he persevered, earning a hard-fought degree from the prestigious School of Hard Knocks. Majoring in Pipe Repair and Wilderness Survival with a minor in Flannel Fashion, he quickly became a jack-of-all-trades. His thesis, “How to Fix a Leaky Log Cabin,” was groundbreaking (and slightly damp).
In the spring of 2024, everything changed. While out for a walk with his son, Bigfoot stumbled upon the Sunshine Motel. The cozy cabins and friendly vibe captured his heart, and he decided to hang up his wandering boots for good. Now, as the motel’s Chief Guest Experience Officer, Bigfoot handles everything from fixing frozen pipes in the crawlspace to entertaining guests with his signature slogan, “Think Big!”
Known for his frosty sense of humor and surprisingly warm hospitality, Bigfoot ensures every guest’s stay is as legendary as he is.
When he’s not spinning signs for “Attractions” or posing for photos, he’s sharing wisdom like, “Life’s better in flannel.” Come meet him—you never know what adventures await!
